SLabsSearch™ Enterprise SLabsForums™ Connector

Overview

The SLabsForums Connector component of SLabsSearch Enterprise is used to search discussion forums managed within the SLabsForums forums management system. As an alternative to private corporate email, discussion forums provide a more secure and searchable platform for capturing the knowledge available within the research team.  Administrators can create discussion forums research scientists or managers and establish the authorized users for accessing these forums.  Because the discussion forums are not based on the corporate email system, there is no risk that confidential information is accidently mailed outside the company.  In addition, historical discussions can be searched and reconstructed by authorized subscribers to the forums.

Systems Configuration

The SLabsForums Connector has been configured as an add-on the the SLabsSearch Server application to communicate with the SLabsForums product web services API. Any number of Forums instances can be configured for search through the SLabsSearch Enterprise Manager.
